Why Illustrator graphics will help you with your fashion collection
During the last 6 months I started to use a fantastic program called Illustrator, I am sure you have already heard obut it. This sofware is made by Adobe as Photoshop but is quite different from the last one.
Photoshop is a bitmap program, which means that more you enlarge the immage less clear it will be (it is called pixel effect). This program is very good for make artistic things like shadows with any sort of brush, tools are like your free hand and it’s the best program for photo retouch.
Illustrator is a vector program which means that it works with points, lines and curves, it’s much less artistic than a bitmap software but a vector immage won’t never lose definition(see example below).
I think Illustrator is a great help if you have problems with file definition,in the last years I worked a lot with bitmap programs because I didn’t have any time to learn a vector software. I always had troubles when I wanted to enlarge an immage because it was always undefined and most of the times I had to remake it for the printmaker. I don’t want to say that Illustrator is better than Photoshop, there are Photoshop functions who can’t be replaced by Illustrator.

Both programs are very important for theire functions, for graphic best results the solution is make them work togeter, Photoshop gives an artistic touch on your files and illustrator resolves your definition problems.
This means you will gain a lot of time, money and also you will have spectaculars graphics for your fashion brand, that’s why I usually make graphics with both. All my drawings will be in Photoshop an graphics will be In Illustrator and (if required) some part in Photoshop.
