For the next spring summer 2012 several fashion designers presented blazers with an essential shape, so simple, that they don’t even have collars or lapels.

Obviously, for the next season, this is not the only trend about blazers, but I have to recognize that many designers have been seduced by linearity.

The main next season’s trend concerns the collarless blazer giving to the garment a bon ton look that was already present in previous seasons.

In the last seasons blazers had a well-defined androgynous aspect, but in the next one, there is a drastic change of direction to meet up society desires of simplicity.

One of the main trend for the next summer 2012 will be the 40’style top.

Many designers presented this style during spring summer  2012 fashion weeks. Chanel presented it with a knot in the centre, Prada created a  band top and Emilio Pucci decorated with some laces.

I think thins retro trend is quite interesting  and bring a bit of fresh air for the next season

I like this proposal but I don’t think it will be saleable to a large scale of people. The main problem is that this kind of style forces to leave a lot of uncovered skin.

Not everyone is a skinny model or it’s so daring to wear a top that covers a small part of the body. This idea is certainly brilliant but has not a great appeal for the mass.

If you really want to insert something like that in your collection, I suggest you to propose something similar to the cut out dresses which make visible only a small portion of body skin.

Some year ago Prada presented the turban during the Milan ss fashion week. That was only the beginning of a trend that will fully spread in the spring summer 2012.

This idea has already being presented during spring summer 2011 but consumers didn’t consider it at all.

This time it seems to come back with a simplified look and surely, much more saleable compared with the spring 2011.

Uncompromising

A theme that opts for boldness, inspiring a style with radical lines and colours. Fashions involve demanding formal research, and open up to technical innovation. Design and architecture inspire clothing construction, with fabrics that are chosen and situated based on their ability to structure, to thicken, to give comfort or elasticity.

Structured but not stiff lines, pure and graphic patterns, and carefully tended details and finishings sketch out elegant and determined fashions.

Frivolously

Playing, seducing, building a fun or sexy personality. Delightedly playing with pretence and disturbance. Blurring codes for day and night, feminine and masculine; dressy and relaxed with a studied nonchalance.

A taste for the festive awakens a desire for the exceptional, a desire to capitalise on precious metals. A glamorous sophistication that let’s one escape into strange or oddly anachronistic decorations.

Modestly

A story allying understated luxury and a casual attitude. A highly elaborated nonchalance where naturals are sophisticated with poetry, rawness is designed, and, decoration is staged by plays on placement and proportions.
Authenticity and rawness harbour tactile surprises, hiding their nobility under a humble appearance.

The refinement of textures and the beauty of ornamentation are grandiosely discreet. Fabrics that initiate clothing into a subtly worn mood, and a generous fullness.

Crossover

A fashion trend surfing on the motion of a connected world, that breaks down borders and opens up markets. A new way of life that profoundly changes creative and consumer attitudes. One that isless egocentric and more collective, more ecofriendly, that remains constantly open to input, to contributions and customisations.

Silhouettes that go from mixes to hybridization, with transfers of know-how between suitings and functionals, sil and sports, chic and street, folkloric and technical.

I thought it would be nice especially for the factories that make fast fashion, if I would create a section where I talk about the main moods of the upcoming season.

Let’s start today whit a trend that is already begun but it’s only at the beginning of its evolution and it will spread completely during next spring summer 2012.

One of the main trends for the upcoming 2012 will be the asymmetry. During my trips around Italy and abroad I noticed an explosion of asymmetric patterns and styles, but above all, a huge offer of asymmetric skirts.

A lot of shops (especially outside Italy) like Zara, have already presented this trend into their shops. The next spring summer 2012 will be the culmination of this style.

This trend has swept all kind of garments, especially skirts and tops.

Even dresses, get some new and unusual shapes using asymmetric cuts.
