Previews spring-summer 2011 at Expofil
Today I want ot tell you about Expofil which is a small part of Premiere Vision in Paris. Expofil presents yarn previews for spring summer 2011. Unfortunately it is forbidden to take pictures so I will make a little resume of the exhibition.
A welcoming and dynamic seasons that underlines the vakue in alliances and plays on complementary blends. “benefical combinations” play on the diversity of advantages for fabric that are ever mor performant; easy to live and wear. Tecnology progressed and offers new opportunities for fashion in the dimains of confort, research into aspects, the evolution of handles and the showcasing of ecological initiatives.
Raw Semplicity: The natural and irregular appearance of linens is attenuated in blurred and patinated aspects. Intimate blends with cotton or matte viscose soften lustre and the dryness of handles. A wholly nuanced fantasy for twisted, Jaspè, molticoloured or two-toned yarns, with macro and micro blurry aspects. Asperities are assumed with multicloured or tone knops, either giant or ultra-fine with silk bourette and knops that texturize surfaces with shire.
Enhancing aspects: Modulating fluidity eccentuating slipperiness, boosting lightness of exagerating drape. Making shine and lustre vibrante through differences of texturizazion, mercerising and gauzing, twisting with matte viscoses, covering celluloses with pearly, metallic or sequinned fineness. Blending cotton with silk to play on suppleness and hold. dabbing in trasparencies with burnt-outs with silk or polyester cores and playing with permanent pleats and embossings. Accentuating dry handles with fine and fluid crepe overtwists.
Confort opportunities: A microfiber softness plays with artificial and synthetic blends for neat and powdery aspects, with a featherweight lightness and robust resistance. Synthetics are combine with viscose for a stretch confort. Warm suppleness is costructed in intimate blends with wool combined with silk or viscose. The easy to live features of long fibre cotton+polyester/viscose blends gives rise to opportunities for extreme washings and washion-outs. Heat regulating and fast-dry performances are of extra-long fibre cottons, either pure or in synthetic blends. Multy-filament polyester are twisted for neat, smooth slippery appearances. Their heat-regulating and anti-bacterial propertias are added to those of of artificial fibres: Hydrophility, bacteriostatic and breathing.
Ecological assets: Organic cotton confirms its advantages thanks to evolutions in the fineness of counts in extra long yarns. Eco-performance where organic cotton is added to the technology of the greenfil fibre, where recycleds are combined with linen, lyocell, and bamboo viscose, for eco-friedly products. Other eco-fibres are craybon, milk protein, corn, seacell and soy.
